A giant among SUVs

The Hummer H2 debuted in the 2002 model year, retaining the overall design direction of the H1, using the GM truck platform along with powerful V8 engines. During the first two years of production, the truck was powered by a 6.0-liter V8 engine with 316 hp, and since 2004, a version of the same engine with 325 hp was offered. During the last two years of production, a 6.2-liter V8 with 393 hp was offered.

Inside the Hummer H2 SUV, up to six people can fit if it is equipped with an additional folding/removable third-row single seat; otherwise, the maximum capacity is five people. The seats of the second row with a 60/40 split are folded. Electric front seats with eight-way adjustment and a memory function for the driver's seat are included as standard, as are the front and rear heated leather seats. Dual-zone automatic temperature control and a Bose audio system with cassette/CD with Radio Data System technology are standard. In 2006, the Special Edition package includes a backup rear-view camera system and an entertainment DVD system for the rear seats with screens installed in the headrests of the front seats.
