The GAZ-69 is an unpretentious and hardy SUV produced at the Gorky Automobile Plant from 1953 to 1972. It was often called the "goat" because of its high cross-country ability and sturdy construction. The car became an important part of the history of the Soviet automobile industry.
The car has a frame bearing system, rear and front-wheel drive, as well as a spring suspension in front and a spring suspension in the rear. Due to its simplicity and reliability, it has been used in a wide variety of conditions – from mountainous areas to sandy deserts. The driver's side door is made narrower than the passenger door so that a note can be placed behind it. Chairs were installed for the driver and the passenger sitting next to him. 6 more people were sitting behind them on the rising benches. This made it possible to transform the body into a cargo platform for transporting goods or installing various equipment.
